We stayed here November last year and chose to stay in this hotel again this year as everything was perfect last time. It was the same this year!! It feels like home with an interesting spatial character. The laundry and pantry in the room are also very useful. The staff was very friendly as always, Jay and Yvonne were especially helpful along with the other staff. Have to mention the cleaning lady who does an exceptional job every day, making it a pleasure to return to the room, after site seeing. The location is very convenient and was among the historical Hutongs and alleyways of Qianliang. As an architect therefore the location was really interesting. It is also close to all the important city destinations, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy, bus halts and the National Art museum subway station.

The apartment is conveniently located walking distance from the metro station. The staffs are always busy but quite helpful。 Our apartment is spacious, stylish, cozy and nicely furnished. The kitchen is only equipped with washer/dryer, some fancy toaster & electric kettle. And, we have TWO MUGS, TWO PLATES and TWO SETS OF KNIVES, SPOONS & FORKS, too. We need to call the housekeeping to get us saucepan and frying pan. We then was told to get the other kitchen stuff from the COMMON KITCHEN where all the cupboard are empty :(

The room was kept clean, even the cleaning staff was extremely good and cooperative, they couldn't speak English but they communicated via this translate app , my wife was sick , they helped a lot , then we have the front office staff , we met Ms. Coco on arrival she was extremely wonderful and throughout our stay always out to help and who would take that extra step , hats off to her , we stayed 5 days then went to Shanghai and came back for another 5 days, she was a vry nice person and did her best , I should also mentioned and salute Yvonne, a another efficient and a vry helpful girl , she booked tickets, ordered food because I didn't HV the apps used in china,I should mention this , one morning I got her to book tickets to visit the great wall for the next day , the same night my wife got sick again, so I went dwn around 1am and canceled the taxi, and told the guy at the reception, what he did was to inform Ivonne immediately, next morning Ivonne surprised me with a refund of 300 Y , I said how come u got the refund for the great wall tickets , she said as soon as she received the message that my wife is since and will not visit the great wall , she cancelled and got the money refunded, that is great service, she also helped throughout our stay there , Ms . Tuna ( hope I got her name write ) , she is not vry good with her English but she tries hard and was of great service, the two boys jack and jake they were surpurb.. all in all the young guys and girls there at Base are amazing, always looking to take a step extra and keep the customer happy. There were so many great things about this place. First, it is located within the second ring in Beijing, which makes it very close to the major tourist places in Beijing, such as the forbidden city, temple of heaven, and soho. There is a subway that is a 10 min walk outside of the property. The place was very clean, and it looked like it was newly established. The facilities were great. Down in the basement, they have a mini-workout room and a pool table for entertainment. There is also a shared kitchen in the basement for people. The rooms are not like your typical hotel rooms; they look more like studio apartments rooms that guest rent out. There was a kitchen, small living room area, and a queen size bed. Next time I am in Beijing, I will stay at this place again.

Base-Wangfujing is the perfect home base for a comfortable stay in Beijing. This is a great serviced apartment building in an absolutely terrific neighborhood. The apartments are good-sized and scrupulously clean. From this comfortable, quiet setting, you can walk a block to bustling restaurants and shops and a few blocks to three different metro stops that make every part of the city easily accessible. We loved being able to do some minimal cooking and laundry in the apartment and stock up on a few breakfast foods at the local Wumart (big supermarket) a few blocks away. There is a free cappuccino/espresso machine in the basement and an affiliated coffee shop/bar next door. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful; most spoke enough English (or used a translation app) to answer questions from non-Chinese speaking travelers like us. We loved being in a building with a diverse mix of long and short-term apartment dwellers, with a shared kitchen space, pool table and gym facilities.
